Unfortunately, this meal was very disappointing. The lamb pasanda was extremely runny and had a strange, almost stale or old taste. It didn’t taste freshly prepared or as though the flavours had been properly brought together. There was nothing creamy, buttery or nutty about it, and it didn’t have the mild sweetness you would normally expect from a pasanda. There was also no visible cream, coriander or almond garnish. We only received around six or seven small pieces of lamb, which felt very poor for the price. The rice was fine and we had no issues with that. The poppadoms, however, were stale. We visited quite early, so it was surprising to be served poppadoms that already tasted as though they had been cooked well in advance and left sitting out. The chips were probably the best part of the meal and they came out of a packet. Overall, the food felt pre-prepared rather than freshly cooked, and the pasanda in particular was nothing like what we expected. Sadly, we would not order it again. I very much recommend this place. We were passing through on the way to our campsite and hungry. We found this great place. It looks like you're entering a pub, but inside the door on the right says cafe mint and opens to a superb dining area - although we were after a take away. The guy serving me was so friendly and it took about 20 mins to prepare. Food was superb, a couple of veggie dishes, rices, onion bahgees and I think he threw in the poppadoms and sauces. Nice and spicy. Too much for the two of us to finish, but made a great breakfast . Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection
