The cake/cream was out of date, this was a cake i pre ordered online, and when i went there to pick it up i had to wait first as she couldnt up load the pic i sent her, then once taken the cake it took me 25 mins to get back home, when we had the taste of the cake the cream was off me and family all tried it was disgusting, i called her back saying i have to bring it back its off she said she made it fresh that day bit she must of used an out of date cream, i bought cakes before from there and they never been like that before, so when i reached the cake box i told her that the cream is off, she said let me try and she cut the cake and bought the cake for me to try i said to her its the cream on the cake thats off it smells , she said it didnt and then i said i want a refund with slices of cakes and cut from my refund she said no at first and i stood my ground i said let me speak to the manager and then only she said ok il offer you refund, i would say stay away from there Wonder how they making the cakes go to cake shop instead. Price per person: £40–50 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

As discussed in store, we carefully inspected the cake when it was returned to us and did not identify any issue with the freshness or quality of the cream. However, as a gesture of goodwill and because you are a returning customer, we provided a full refund as customer satisfaction is very important to us. We take food quality extremely seriously and all of our fresh cream cakes are prepared under strict food safety procedures using fresh ingredients. 2nd order with our family from the cake box in 2 days. Terrible experience. When you book a time you expect your cake to be ready for that time. I was extremely busy organising 60th and when I got there they had got the cake wrong. Even though I had rang the day before to check that the cake I would be having would definitely have almonds on the side. When i arrived it had white chocolate curls instead. Their excuse was the image looked like chocolate curls. Their excuse was the image looked like white chocolate curls. Twice they have got it wrong. They said give us 10 minutes and we will rectify it. I was so annoyed as I didnt have 10 minutes. Staff should know the cakes they are selling. An almond cake should have almonds on. Wont be going back to this cake box. Food: 5 Service: 3
