Date of visit 10/19/22 Whether you eat in or take out, the food is overpriced for the value and quality. The service matches; little to none. $34 for two burritos, two drinks and an order of chips and salsa (chips and salsa are extra). No tip! I tipped myself. That tip was “don’t come back and don’t recommend it to anyone!” For the same dollars you can get a better plate of Mexican food at many other establishments in Tulsa. Plus, the bonus of dining with table service, and get complimentary chips and salsa. My wife ordered the Chile Verde Burrito “wet” ($9.95+$1.50). This should have been called a “Rice and more Rice, Burrito, with a little pork.” We mistakenly assumed that wet meant that it was served as is usually the case, with a red or green sauce. No, wet here is queso. Although a much better burrito at the same price, my Carne Asada Burrito was shy on the beef. Stale chips from a paper bag and average salsa made for a regrettable lunch stop. Calaca Fresh Mex or Catrina Fresh Mex, which is it? Either way, drive a few blocks north for better options and avoid this skeleton of a restaurant.
