The Meritage restaurant has a great view of their Vinyard and a great place to dine and watch sunset. The fried pork belly appetizer with Papaya salad is worth trying. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Beautiful views of the vineyard while you dine! We came here with friends and made an early reservation. We were seating right away and the service was quick and the server was very friendly. The food was cooked perfectly; however, you definitely need salt. I ended up trying both types of lamb and each were prepared so differently. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Slow Braised Lamb Shank Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled dishes Dietary restrictions: Not recommended for vegans - limited choices

We recently visited Meritage at Callaway for a Sunday lunch. The scenery is beautiful. I was very surprised unlike other wineries it was not packed with people on a Sunday early afternoon. The restaurant was nice beautiful breeze on a hot day. We ordered the Cabernet Savignon from the reserve list. It was very good. The service was great George was our server. I did notice families were seated in a different area which i like. After all it is a winery and if you are on a date, It's nice not to have kids playing next to you. Same if you go with your child nice not to be seated with adults drinking vino. The food was average. I wouldn't call it "fine dining" but it was good. I would go again!
