The manager Sara is really great with people and customer service! This store has fed my family and I with superb excellence for over thirty years and we are very grateful. My elderly mom made a big order here recently, but it did not go through on her debit card because of the fraud alert through her bank. She was asked to input her pin #, but they do not ask for people's pin # to be clear. Sometimes elderly people get a little confused. Another family member paid for the order. When I asked about it through their website, the manager Sara called me quickly and explained everything to my great satisfaction. What a great person. I am very impressed with this manager and the service she provides! It is A+. In today's modern world, it is a good idea to carry some cash and more than one debit/or credit card in case there is some technical issue like this and you still want to be able to buy what you're trying to buy - like family dinner in this case. All of their food is very delicious! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10

Very disappointed, I purchased a meal that wasn't a penny!! My hush puppies were burnt and hard and the corn sat in water so long the corn wasn't yellow anymore. This fish was cold in the inside and bout time I made it home I was hungry and still hungry. My order wasn't really what I ordered, I was missing the shrimp. Who ever cooking doesn't do a good job at all and probably need to find something else to do.definitely not cooking Food: 2 Service: 2

The store was clean and well lit. All tables were stocked, bathroom was maintained and employees were absolutely the nicest ever! It was frigid cold and we sat out front trying to decide if we were going in or using their drive-thru. They do offer both convenient options! We sat out there long enough that their sweet cashier ventured into the cold to make sure we were ok and didn't need anything. I'm not used to such gregarious and warm personalities this close to the big ol city! I felt the need to come back and edit this as I was in a hurry before. Never thought anyone would read it. My husband and I both ordered a chicken and fish meal. Fries for him and okra for me. The poor chicken had seen better days from the looks of it (it tasted fine!) but we were there right at close of business. For a business to sell multiple seafood items AND chicken and vegetable items and EVERYTHING NOT SMELL AND TASTE LIKE FISH.... I don't know if that feat is luck, skill, trade secret, magic (??) but they stand alone at Captain D's to be able to cater to the seafood lover AND the person who doesn't like the taste. I'm not sure how this works because I makes catfish at home in February of 2009 and to this day, you just can't trust my oven with a pie. Thank you to Captain D's for their conscientious, kind employee, their good hot food and warm, clean establishment on a freezing evening and food that's both pleasant to the eye and mouth! Your attention to detail definitely shows on every level. We live in Belleville Illinois and frequent the Captain D's there as well but this St Ann location is certainly a favorite!! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: They offer many options that are not meat related. Pescatarian options as well, obviously.
