Si por un casual estás cerca de Fish Statue, podrías venir a conocer este bar. En Carmel - Woodfire Seafood & Oyster Bar te van a ofrecer cocina nueva cocina mexicana. Muchos de sus invitados comentan que los camareros sirven aquí unas atrayentes ostras rockefeller, una casera ensalada césar y un sabroso atún a la parrilla. Este lugar debería recomendarse solo por su generoso pastel de terciopelo rojo, sus bien trabajados bollos de crema y su singular tostada francesa.
La carta de vinos es muy variada, para que todos los visitantes puedan encontrar alguno que satisfaga su gusto. The service was great however, the waiter raved about almost everything so it wasn’t exactly a realistic, and some of the food we tried did not live up to the hype. Sort of expected more from the milk buns, it was just one pull-apart bun with togarashi butter for $8, but it was tasty. The caviar fries were cold. I love shoestring fries, but I don’t know if it’s because the hollandaise sauce is cold, but I just didn’t enjoy eating them. It’s best to eat with a fork though because it can be a little messy. The broccolini was amazing. The puréed mashed potatoes were nice, but nothing spectacular. The mango sorbet was very rich, they didn’t offer us other desserts though for the birthday, not sure if we had a choice. Seafood was good overall but the sauces had a not very pleasant aftertaste. If I go back it will be to try the oysters and cocktails. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We went on a date last Saturday and had a great time here. The food is outstanding, we ordered the roasted oysters and they were delicious, I had the redfish and my husband ordered the flounder and they were both outstanding. Our server, Anna, was fantastic, helpful and friendly and made us feel at home. We had a great date night and would love to come back next time we're in the city. Ahh I wanted to love this place and had heard so many good things about it but maybe they were having an off night?? The caviar fries were good and the drinks were okay but the salmon was tough. I asked for it medium rare to medium and it was completely charred to the point I had to really work at it with my knife. I think it sat in the hot window for far too long as I literally have a burn on my arm from where I touched the plate lol. Our server was nice and the atmosphere was cool the food just left something to be desired. Maybe I’ll go back another time and just order something different??
