The staff member was clearly racist. I approached her twice, face to face at the table, asking about my order, but she completely ignored me. I assumed she was just responsible for preparing food and not taking orders. But when another customer came in behind me, she immediately took their order. On top of that, she charged more—apparently, I ordered a small portion of fish and chips with a Coke, yet they charged me £9.20. Meal type: Lunch Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Hello Xi, the lady that you thought was ignoring you was in the middle of completing a deliveroo order. She had to finish that order first before she could start your order. Also mini fish and chips is £7.40 and a can of drink is £1.80 so you have been charged correctly. I think there is a massive language and cultural barrier here that you’ve misunderstood and though that because the girl was white and that because you’re Asian she thought he was rude to you because of your race? That is racist in itself

3 years coming here. Still a great place, great vibes and staff are friendly and always reliable and get orders out quickly and with precision. One of the workers was dropping impressive ball knowledge about Ben 10 to the other oblivious workers. I would've joined in, but I probably would've ended up talking for an hour and I had a train to catch in 10 minutes. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Whilst out exploring Nottingham we decided we needed fish and chips. A Google search threw up Carringtons and since we were on the canal tow path, we headed over. We arrived shortly before the lunchtime rush, and ordered a mini fish & chips (wife only has a small appetite) and a regular fish & chips (for me). I was glad we didn't go bigger as there was ample food in both portions. We sat in on the breakfast table style setup, and watched the premises get really busy. The food tasted great, it wasn't greasy like some venues, and my regular fish and chips came with a portion of tartare sauce and a piece of lemon; nice touch. We would definitely use them again if we visited. Lovely location close to the train station. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: Tell the staff.
