They served us scorched White beans!!! Everything was fried in old smelly grease!! My baked potato was hard as a brick!! I tried the seafood platter and got my fillet broiled… It was greasy and salty and terrible!! My husband got the catfish (all u can eat) And only ate two pieces because you could tell it was cooked in Old, overused grease. I told them that most of my meal was an edible and it was not good and they offered me 10% off still paid $43 for two meals. It was terrible still paying the price this morning for eating there last night!! I’ve been up all night!! Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner

If you find yourself wandering the backroads of Burns, TN, you’ll likely stumble upon Catfish Kitchen. It’s a classic, well-established spot that feels like a local secret, tucked away just enough to give it that authentic, off-the-beaten-path charm. The Food. The kitchen definitely knows what it’s doing. If you go, the spicy catfish filets are a must, they’re seasoned perfectly with a kick that lingers just long enough. The best part? You won't leave hungry. The portions are incredibly generous, staying true to that hearty, Southern "local favorite" reputation. The Atmosphere & Service. The building itself is undeniably cute and carries the soul of a long-standing community staple. However, the service experience currently leaves a bit to be desired. The Vibe: Cozy and rustic. The Catch: On my visit, there were only two waitresses handling the entire floor. The Issue: While the food came out great, the staff seemed much more invested in their phone screens and catching up with each other than checking in on tables. It’s the kind of place where the food earns five stars, but you might have to wave a flag to get a refill. Bottom Line: Go for the catfish, stay for the quiet location, but bring a little patience for the service. It’s a great neighborhood haunt that just needs a bit more focus on the "front of house" hospitality. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
