i can’t recommend this pub enough goes above and beyond for customers. lovley big function room for parties and prices are fab. can’t wait to have our next party here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've been waiting to do my review and it's long so bare with. You see I booked here for my 30th Birthday party in January. I spoke to the manager? A lady, on the phone who took my details, I asked about food and was told "we have a restaurant your guests can order from if this works for you". Brilliant, went ahead and paid my deposit. Following from that all I can say is the communication was pretty dire. One guy telling me one thing, and the woman telling me different. Every phonecall I was asked "who did you speak to?" To have to respond "you!". January comes and I message to confirm my booking so I can start booking a magician and karaoke. They apparently had no record of my booking and didn't believe me until I sent them a photo of my receipt and deposit. I then get told "I've had to let my chef go so you won't be able to use the restaurant anymore. But you're welcome to cater." I queried if someone else would be hired as the whole idea of booking here was so my guests could order food from the restaurant. I was told no. I will say I was offered the opportunity to book a food package with the manager for Currys for my guest. However this was not suitable for the range of dietary. But I continued with my booking. A couple of days before my party I get a phone call and asked if I am bringing table cloths. I said nope, I wasn't bothered about the tables. The same lady, manager, insisted I either pay for her to cover them (£60) or I cover them myself because they are "worse for wear". I decided to query this and explain that it is not my responsibility as a paying customer to cover her tables just because she is ashamed of them. If they are that bad she should cover them herself and not force guests into doing it. I was told "well if you want shxt tables that's your choice" The conversation got a little heated when I called out the decision to fire a chef and then insist on making me pay for table coverings. I was met with shouting and anger back from the lady. Both my husband and I were absolutely stunned by the attitude and sheer lack of responsibility from this manager. I repeatedly tried to remind the manager I was booking this for my party and I was excited to have my party there but she was making me feel uncomfortable. I then asked "I'm sorry but do you want me custom this weekend?" The manager replied "no. I don't want your custom. I don't want you or your guests at my venue. I'm cancelling your party and I'll send you your deposit back." The call ended. And it took a lot of nagging to get my deposit back whilst the manager repeatedly tried to encourage me to not cancel via text. And I reminded her it was she who cancelled not me. An absolute shambles, but I made a promise to leave a review and here it is. Avoid. Unless you like disappointment and a manager who fails to be held accountable. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

The Limestone Caves in Dudley is the best pub I have ever been to. The service was excellent from start to finish, with friendly, welcoming staff who really know how to look after their customers. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of service. Great atmosphere, great staff, and great value for money. Highly recommended — 5 stars all round! Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
