What an absolute delightful café. We were heartily greeted by the whole staff as we entered, already putting a smile on my face. It took a little while for me and my partner to choose from all the breads, but the staff patiently waited for us. We wanted to bring some of the pastries for takeout while having a coffee at the cafe to eat some others. With our limited Japanese capabilities we confused the staff (sorry!) but they were still very accommodating. The melon pan tasted differently compared to others I've tried in Japan. I believe it's been made with naturally fermented yeast (sourdough)? I enjoyed it a lot! There was a quaint and cute atmosphere in the café, too. It felt like a very traditional, homely sort of place, and it reminded me of places I've been to in Europe. If I could, I'd give the café 6/5. The staff showed us a lot of interest, even asking us about our stay in Japan, and we received some complimentary service! Thank you for being so kind to us. It seems that the cashier's friend had come to the store, and the clerk was so absorbed in talking with him that he didn't even notice that we were trying to buy bread, so we had to wait quite a while. . Because of this, I was charged a parking fee at the previous coin parking lot. . I understand that they value local customers, but I wish they would understand the situation when customers who are in a hurry are forced to wait. . I'll never go there again. It's a shame because the bread is delicious.
