The food is quite good. You can get snacks, main course as well as drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic). The menu is not very vast but you will find enough options. However, I didn't find the option of "Chai" in the menu, maybe I missed it but if it's not there, that will be strange The ambience is quite similar to a north Indian style road-side dhaba, pretty good. Overall, it will be a good experience. Recommend. Vegetarian options: There are lots of vegetarian options, I think more than 60% of the menu is vegetarian or vegan. There is a good variety of snacks like samosa, Pani-puri, vada-pav, pav-bhaji etc and some main course options like fatal, paneer etc. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Samosa Chaat, Matchstick Okra Fries Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection, Vegetarian menu or section, Clearly labeled vegetarian dishes

Chai Pani Decatur, what a wonderful place it used to be...Before COVID, My wife & I would visit Chai Pani almost every weekend for weeks-on-end for its famous Pani Puri stand. We were so habitual, not only the server, rather the waitresses and those who would seat the guests started recognizing us. This was all thanks to our 4-5 year old son who would literally wreak havoc in the front waiting/pani puri area.Fast forward to post-COVID, amazingly, they’ve managed a way to continue serving Pani Puri while adhering to the social distancing guidelines.Now Chai Pani serves a family pack (see picture) with almost all the same contents as before....with a slight problem.As you may notice in the picture, the two types of “water” that come with the Pani Puri, one is sweet and one is spicy.They give 3x the amount of spicy water compared to the sweet water. My wife loves both the sweet and spicy water, I only love the sweet water.(THE POINT OF THIS REVIEW)Multiple times since COVID, my wife and I have ordered the Pani Puri Family Pack.Each time, we’ve requested extra sweet water.At first they would charge us $2 extra for an extra 8oz of sweet water. Very fair.The next time around, they charged us $3. Weird for changing the price, but acceptable.The last time we went (1/11/2020), the manager during the night shift (I forget her name) decided to charge us $4. Now that is absurd.I tried pleading with her, however she said that “Ever since COVID started, we have changed the prices.” (From $2 to $3 to $4)I then agreed to pay the extra $4, however I asked for an equal amount of sweet and spicy water (since the sweet water comes in an 8oz tub vs. 24oz tub of spicy water)She said she wasn’t allowed to do that.By looking at the items that come in a $20 Family Pack, how can we justify that an 8oz container of sweet water costs $4?If she didn’t know how to charge a simple $2 extra, why did she have to charge me for a whole plate of pani puri? Yes! Pre-Covid, one entire plate of Pani Puri would be $4.You can imagine that after this frustration, when she asked if I want the receipt, I said yes. Somehow (smh) she forgot to give me the receipt.P.S. If this review somehow “vanishes”......something to think about.
