Sorry to hear about some customers' not-so-good experiences. I've been to Chances R about 4 or 5 times recently, mostly in the early morning (for breakfast). The food was always presented well, very attractive, and the quality of the food and the bottomless coffee was appreciated. Every time I've gone, the restaurant was filling up, likely with regulars... some 'older' customers like myself.

August 10, 2025 – Safety Concern & Poor Handling

I ordered a chicken wrap with a Diet Pepsi at Chances R – East and bit into a large, rock-hard object that appeared to be a bone (at first I even thought it might be a tooth). This could have caused serious injury or choking.

When I told my server, he later said it was a “potato” that must have been left in the deep fryer, which is why it was so hard, and also claimed that cross-contamination in food is “normal.” No apology, replacement, or compensation was offered, even though I couldn’t finish my meal.

What bothered me most was how dismissive this was handled. Food safety concerns should be taken seriously, not brushed off as normal. I hope management addresses this issue to prevent harm to other customers.

We enjoy going to the Chances R Restaurant for breakfasts, lunches, snacks & drinks, dinners... it’s one of our fave places :) But last week they just blew us away... Thank you Chances R Restaurant for your amazing caring and generosity!!! Owner Nick Bouris heard that our family was sick with COVID-19 and quarantined at home, and he personally delivered turkey dinners with all the trimmings and dessert to our doorstep last Sunday. There was so much food, and delish!!! We heard that he did this for many others too. This is the great heart of the Chances R. You lifted our spirits more than we can ever express!! THANK YOU ❤️
