Authentic taverna to which we were lucky enough to be invited as a group. Thank you for the wonderful evening! Extraordinary hospitality and food with local music. Price per person: €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Greek Salad Vegetarian options: Huge selection on simple authentic and yummy vegetarian meze.

This was our second visit and like the first,it didn't disappoint. This is a traditional village taverna/restaurant with a selection of dishes serving fresh local produce. We went as a group of 6 friends, two of whom are a wonderful Greek couple and the four of us English couples. I can only say that the experience was one not to be missed. The Ouzo was free flowing and as I have said, the food was a banquet. I encourage anyone reading this to make the effort to visit, you will not be disappointed! Please note that the restaurant is open in the evening and not as stated, closing mid afternoon. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: This is Greece,vegetables a plenty.

A view to die for and authentic greek cuisine. We found this little hidden gem, Chani, in the mountains between Petra and Kalloni, in the village of Stypsi. The smallest of towns, where time stands still and orders are made by sign language. This authentic tavern overviewing the mountains and outside the village elders handle the world situation, whilst sipping Ouzo. As always we went for the greek salad. After Google translate, we ended up trying the local fava beans, looking a bit like hummus, and tasting absolutely fantastic. We paid 35€.... Main course greek sausage and meatballs and of course a ice cold Mythos. Take the detour - it's worth it. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
