We stopped at Chapeau for lunch because they had an overall 4.5 star review rating on a Google search. This is a dive bar! To say, bar is a bit of an overstretch because they only serve beer (we were not looking for alcoholic beverages or beer, just trying to find a place to lunch.) it would not appear that there is a real "kitchen" at this establishment. The menu is VERY basic and seems to be "reheat and serve" options. They do not have anything that is fried or fresh as far as menu options, and it was pricey for the options offered!! When ask what the waitress would recommend, she recommended the Pizza Taco, because this is their "signature menu option. The pizza taco consisted of a premade pizza crust with a pizza sauce/salsa combo, filled with precooked meat nuggets, some cheese, and shredded iceberg lettuce. We ordered a large and split it. whenever it was brought to her table it was on paper plates with plastic forks and if you napkins. This was okay-ISH. This was comparable to a "reheat-and-eat" meal from a freezer. The air conditioning was out which did not make the dining experience very pleasant, but what made the experience REALLY UNPLEASANT was the VERY strong "hot urine" STINK that was emanating throughout the entire dining area. I would strongly not recommend this establishment if you are looking for a place to have a decent meal. Price per person: $10–20 Recommended dishes: Large Pizza Taco Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Free of charge street parking Parking: The waitress warmed up once we started asking questions about her recommendations from the menu. Service was okay, not great, But this could be due to the fact that the employees were working without any air conditioning in a hot building!!
