I’ve been to many different locations of Chatime, but this one had the worst customer service and terrible tasting drinks. There was only one lady working and she handled the situation very rudely. I ordered 2 matcha drinks and both tasted absolutely like water so I went back in to ask if she could remake it. She gave me attitude and remade one drink for me to try and it tasted exactly the same, yet she told me she added more matcha. There is no matcha drink that tastes this bad, especially knowing what Chatime matcha drinks are supposed to taste like. She said she could only refund one drink as she already made 3 drinks, which all tasted like water. Why am I paying for water? Absolutely disgusting and very unprofessional. I felt disrespected as a loyal Chatime customer. Would NOT recommend to anyone unless you want to be given attitude and feel blamed for being given watered down bubble teas.

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing bubble tea experiences I’ve had. I ordered the limited time Ube Matcha with oat milk, 50% sugar, 50% less ice, and added pearls. The drink cost close to $12, so I was expecting something premium. Instead, it was a huge letdown. From the moment we walked in, we weren’t greeted. Two employees were chatting with each other, and while they eventually served the customer ahead of us, the service felt rushed and not very welcoming. The shop itself was clean, which I appreciated, but that’s where the positives ended. The drink barely tasted like ube at all. The oat milk made it taste watered down, and the overall flavour was extremely bland. Even though I requested 50% less ice, it still felt like the cup was packed with ice, leaving very little actual drink. The pearls were another disappointment. They tasted cold, almost as if they had just come out of the fridge. They weren’t soft, warm, or chewy like fresh pearls should be, and they had very little flavour. For nearly $12, there are plenty of better bubble tea options available that offer much better quality and value. It’s tough for me to write a 1 star review because I always try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but this visit genuinely missed the mark. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t order this drink again or return to this location.

The teens were craving bubble tea from this neighborhood staple. It’s still the same great taste, even if the prices have climbed a bit.
