I've been to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen twice for lunch recently, and both visits were excellent. On my first visit, I had the fish and chips, and on the second, I tried the Monte Cristo. Both were very good, but the Monte Cristo really stood out. It's unique, incredibly flavorful, and definitely filling. The raspberry preserves served alongside it take it to another level. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the combination of the sweet raspberry preserves with the savory sandwich was outstanding. If you've never tried the Monte Cristo, I'd highly recommend it. Even before the meal arrives, the complimentary croissants are a great touch. They're warm, flaky, and topped with a sweet honey butter glaze that makes them hard to stop eating. It's a small thing, but it really sets the tone for the meal. The service was outstanding both times as well. My server on each visit was a young man named Landon, and he did a terrific job. He clearly knows what he's doing, stayed on top of everything, and provided great service despite appearing to have a pretty large section to manage. One thing that really stood out, especially for a lunch visit, was how quickly the food came out. The kitchen was efficient without sacrificing quality, which is a huge plus when you're trying to get in and out during the middle of the day. Overall, the food was well prepared, the service was excellent, and the entire experience was enjoyable from start to finish. We placed an order for curbside and were pleasantly surprised they are one of the few restaurants still doing it. The food was
wonderful and the portions quite substantial. We always request 'no plasticware' but no restaurant has honored that and we are forced to get rid of it. However, Cheddar's honored our request! They pay attention!!
