The food here is authentic Haitian cuisine, and it tastes just like home-cooked meals. The side portions are generous. The bar service was prompt, and the music was up-to-date. However, it’s a good idea to call ahead to confirm the kitchen closing time or if there’s a reduced menu. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had such a great experience. Sat outside and watched Friday night foot traffic on Georgia. Had delightful 'marinades", a beignet like app served with a truly spicy slaw. Split an oxtail stew with"special" rice (a $2 upgrade, which was worth it) and plantains. A few rum punches that washed it all down. We will be back, service was truly superb -- attentive and quick -- and the whole vibe was exactly what we needed. Price per person: $30–40

Please come check out this restaurant and support! We don’t want our restaurants to fail and close their doors. My wife and I came by on Saturday after they opened around 12:30pm. The waitress was very friendly and took our order promptly. We ordered the Akra as an appetizer. For the main course, griot with diri kole. The appetizer took a long time to come out, and the griot arrived about an hour after we ordered. I would recommend not coming before 1:30 p.m. on a Saturday, because service from the kitchen was very slow. We were patient, and I do prefer fresh food, but the wait was long and could definitely be a problem for some people. Si li bon, ou oblije di li bon. The good: The Akra was fresh and tasty. The pikliz was . The same goes for the rice. The diri kole (rice and beans) was delicious, and the bannann peze (fried plantains) were hot and fried perfectly. Just note that the order only comes with two, as pictured below. The service itself was good. There was only one waitress, and she was handling everything: takeout orders, answering the phone, and serving all the tables. She got very busy and was not able to refill our drinks. I ended up going to the counter/bar to get my check and a to-go box because she was stretched so thin. The bad: The griot (fried pork) had a lot of greasy pieces. Hopefully that is not always the case, but that was my experience. Also, there is a mandatory 18% gratuity added to all dine-in orders. It was listed on the menu, so it was not a surprise to us, but I wanted to mention it so other diners are aware ahead of time. I personally do not have an issue with it, just a heads-up. Final verdict: This place could easily be a 5-star spot if they added more help for the waitress, improved the griot plate. While we were there, two more parties came in and also had to wait quite a while after we arrived. Please support local businesses and restaurants.
