Lovely lovely place facing Lake Zurich. Just a few mins walk from the Kilchberg boat station to head back to Burkiplatz. Came for a late lunch after a visit to Lindt choc factory. Lunch menu specials with choice of starter and main. My family truly enjoyed the freshness, flavour and service from the team. The mushroom soup was truly made fresh and flavourful , the grilled chicken, sea bass with tagliatelle, and marinara spaghetti were all so so good. There’s a central heater indoor which is nicely warm on a chilled day. There’s patio dining facing the boat ramp , a nice walk after a full tummy ! The Chez Fritz restaurant in Kilchberg offers a beautiful terrace directly on the lake, which is furnished with great attention to detail. The ambience is really fantastic and invites you to linger. The service was good but not outstanding. The staff was friendly, but lacked that little something extra to call the service excellent. I had the Gazpacho as a starter and the Red Thai Chicken Curry as my main course. My companion chose the avocado and shrimp salad and the filet de loup de mer. All dishes were well seasoned and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the portions were a bit small for the hefty price. You don't really get full at Chez Fritz, which is disappointing for a restaurant in this price range. What was notable was that the food was served very quickly. We had the starter on the table less than 3 minutes after ordering. The main course was also served immediately after the starters had finished. We had our reservation for 7 p.m. and were finished eating about 45 minutes later. This isn't generally a negative thing, but it happened a little too quickly for us. Conclusion: The food is good and the location is fantastic, but the portions are too small for the high price. The quick serving time can be perceived as an advantage or disadvantage.
