I recently tried Chicken Scratch in Rock Hill, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. I was really looking forward to some good comfort food, but the experience quickly went downhill once I started eating. The chicken itself was the biggest letdown—I bit into multiple pieces that were filled with fat and gristle, which made it hard to enjoy the meal at all. It felt like there wasn’t much care put into trimming or preparing the meat properly. The flavor wasn’t terrible, but it couldn’t make up for the texture issues. After a few bites, I found myself losing my appetite altogether. The overall experience just felt disappointing, especially considering how excited I was to try it. I wouldn’t rush back, and I’d definitely think twice before recommending it to others. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Great Food. Tender juicy flavorful roasted chicken. SIdes mashed potatoes, gravy, roasted beets, cole slaw and potato salads all fresh, delicious and much appreciated by our household. Highly recommend. We went back for our second visit yummy chicken gyro wrap. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
