This was my second visit. The first time would have been a five star rating. This time the chicken was overcooked and tough. That's hard to swallow at the prices they charge. It makes me feel hesitant to try them again. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Takeaway

I am extremely disappointed with my recent carryout experience from Chicken Shack Livonia. Sunday, June 28, 2026 My order was incomplete, as the coleslaw that I paid for was not included in the bag. When I called the restaurant, I simply requested a refund for the missing item. Instead of refunding me for the coleslaw that I never received, I was told I could drive back to pick it up or receive store credit. Unfortunately, I was already 10 minutes away and roads in the area were closing due to fireworks, making it unreasonable to return. I explained the situation and asked to speak with a manager. The employee informed me that she was the manager and stated there was nothing else she could do other than offer a replacement item or store credit. I was then told to call back on Tuesday to speak with someone higher up. The food quality was also disappointing. The potatoes were drenched in butter to the point that they were nearly inedible, and the chicken appeared to have feathers or other parts that should have been removed during preparation. I have attached photos showing both issues. What is most frustrating is that I was not seeking a refund for the entire meal. I simply requested reimbursement for an item that was paid for but never provided. Given the missing food, the quality concerns, and the lack of a reasonable resolution, this experience fell far below my expectations. Based on this experience, I do not plan to return.
