What a shame really. Food is great no doubt as I've had the burgers and fried chicken numerous times but customer service doesn't match unfortunately. Last night I went to grab couple burgers and fried chicken as usual, also with the expectation that I would recieve regular fries which was missed in my previous order. But wow! The guy investigates for a good 15mins or so as if I was lying for a small handful of fries. He then comments "we dont miss orders". Okay - coming from someone who worked in multiple fast-food franchises and have a family takeaway business of our own, everyone misses orders time to time, youre not an AI. Furthermore he goes on to say "you should have called". Okay buddy, what's the number? Its not on Google, not on the website, am I supposed to guess it? I showed him the Google and website as well and he also failed to find me the number and goes on to say "we recieve phone call orders all the time" but doesn't know the contact info. He then proceeds to call the "owner". And apparently the owner advised to write an email and he'll offer a refund. Also failed to provide email address. None-the-less, I wasn't looking for a refund. You have lost yourself a regular customer for $4.50 chips. Well done. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

I recently visited Chickmate! in New Lynn and had a wonderful experience. The pressure-fried chicken was super crispy and juicy — full of flavour and perfectly seasoned. The burgers and fries were also tasty and great value for the price. I appreciated the friendly service and the clean, welcoming vibe of the place. Will definitely come back again and recommend it to friends! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Takeaway Price per person: $20–30
