Ginza 6-chome Chinois 5/11 (Monday) Takeout Makunouchi bento - fish - 2,000 yen Today's lunch is a takeout bento box. (only reservation) I bought a lunch box at Chinois Ginza, a wine bar along Sotobori Street. Returning to Chinois, the takeout menu includes bento boxes and sandwiches. You can also take home appetizers and main dishes that would be great snacks. This time I ordered the Makunouchi bento. The Makunouchi bento also had a choice of meat or fish, so I ordered fish. The rice is bright yellow saffron rice. However, an accident occurred when I brought it home. When I received the paper bag, I noticed some sort of stain on the bottom of the bag, so I was concerned about it, but when I took it home and put it out, I found that it was inside the bag and on the lunch box. The box is all messed up. The culprit is this fish dish, grilled sea bass with herbs. It was a delicious sea bass with firm flesh, but the soup was soggy, which was disappointing. Shrimp mayo salad, etc. I think the Western-style side dishes, such as white fish with vinegar and sautéed fava beans and squid, are good. As for the contents, I think it was a well-organized lunch box in a Western style. The only thing that could be improved is that I wish the bento box had a tighter seal when it contained juicy side dishes. However, when it comes to bento lunches, it is true that things like that can end up being ruined. It's such a shame.
