Honestly, I am beyond disappointed with this place. I ordered fish and chips over the phone one night and went to collect it, only to be told by the owner that “someone else took it” — which I completely believe was a lie. He then said it would take 15 minutes to remake, so I stayed in the shop to wait as I mentioned of it took longer than 20 minutes I will not stay as I feel unsafe here. It ended up taking OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF. I WAS STANDING WAITING ON A FRIDAY NIGHT IN PILL. I DID NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE AT ALL. The owner was literally TAKING THE PISS, casually making fish and chips while I stood there waiting. He could clearly see how uncomfortable I was, yet still chose to lie and make me wait. And all he did was sit on the phone the whole time and then show me the fish about 10 times cooking it. The service was absolutely shocking, and I will never be going back. To make matters worse, a few weeks later a family member called ahead to order chips and was told they were ready for collection. They went to the shop and — surprise — they weren’t ready. ONCE AGAIN, IT TOOK OVER 30 MINUTES JUST TO COOK CHIPS. I genuinely cannot understand how a business can have service this bad. Question to the owner, why do you lie so much? Why do you make your customers uncomfortable? Is the lie worth this bad review? Completely not worth the time, money, or discomfort as the owner will lie to you and make you wait no matter what time of the night it is. The food itself is alright but the SERVICE HAS MADE IT AN EXTREMELY BAD EXPERIENCE. Avoid. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Absolutely horrendous I went in for 2 cheese burger meals I was told by the Bengali student the burgers will take 30 mins to cook I waited,once the 30 mins were up I was asked to wait another 20 mins as the owner was bringing the burgers to the shop!!!Absolutely disgusting why couldn't I be told that the option was unavailable when ordering rather than to be made to wait. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!!

Started a new job round the corner about 4/5 months ago and have gone to chip stop everyday since. Great food, great prices and the owner is incredibly nice. Would recommend.
