Omakase. Delicious and fresh. The staff were extremely polite and patient to explain what each dish was. I ordered an extra serving of whale meat. Easy on the palate and very delicious. Highly recommended. They have counter seats and table for larger groups. Since I was alone, I sat at the counter. Price per person: ¥6,000–7,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We were told if we wanted a good quality meal it would be necessary to sign up for. 12,000 yen per person set course dinner, which we did. The food itself was Ok but not of a quality or creativity commensurate with the price. They did serve specialty items like blowfish. But the flavor wasn't noteworthy. Tableware and presentation was decent. But we ate better at a nearby Izakaya for less than half the price. The service was where Chiyo particularly fell short. The food preparation was almost entirely in a separate kitchen. Although we had bar seats, the chefs only appeared briefly at the beginning of the meal and never reapeared, not even to say goodbye at the meal's conclusion. The dishes were brought to us already prepared from the kitchen by a staff that were not interested in us. There apparently was a large group dining in another room, and so part of the issue may have been that everyone was distracted by a vip client. Overall it felt like a tourist trap. Don't waste time and money with Chiyo. Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
