Went for a 50th birthday meal that turned into a party, food was lovely and the space and layout was very impressive. Nice clean environment and you might get get one bathroom selfie. Overall nice place for a family function

When searching for a venue to hold my Dad's funeral reception late last year, I knew exactly what my Dad deserved - and what he didn't. In my opinion, there aren't many venues in Sandwell/Birmingham suitable for this kind of event, specifically with the size I needed (250+ guests) AND the calibre of aesthetic I had in mind. I'd never attended an event here before as such, but after visiting their open day the previous year, it really stayed with me for all of the right reasons. Club Ocho Rios is a lovely, modern venue already beautifully decorated and needing just the personal touches. From my first call to meeting with the owner, to the ongoing support, reassurance calls, and check-ins, every part of my experience with Club Ocho Rios was faultless. The facilities were clean (yes, I am that person who checks and rechecks toilets and all communal areas), and the staff were helpful and attentive. The tables and chairs were laid out exactly how I had asked, and on time, ready for me to set up the decor the night before. There was sufficient space for large photos, a catering station on both floors and a memory table without either floor feeling overcrowded. All 250+ guests sat and ate, as well as mingled comfortably across the 2 floors, both of which are wheelchair accessible. I also overheard guests commenting on how beautiful the venue is and that it was exactly what my Dad deserved too. Even the DJ who had never been there before absolutely loved it, and all suppliers were made to feel welcome throughout. I cannot thank the team at Club Ocho Rios enough for both the practical and emotional support at such an extremely difficult and emotionally charged time. They were integral to the day flowing smoothly and I will be forever grateful for everything they did from start to finish - even the few things they handled discreetly and professionally without me even knowing about until the day after.
