It was lunch time in Kikonai-cho, and as I walked along the station street, I found a shop with 5 or 6 conspicuous banners, such as ``Ramen'', ``Nabeyaki Udon'', and ``Udon.Soba'', and headed towards the roadside station. I parked my car at and visited. It is ``CoCo,'' a light meal cafe. When I entered the room, I was greeted by a polite mother-like person who said, ``Welcome,'' as if to talk to me, and I was greeted with a smile. There is also a man in the back, so it seems like the restaurant is run by a couple. It's a small store with only a few seats, but there are also counter seats, and the shelves are packed with manga and other items. The inside of the store has a coffee shop atmosphere. I ordered two types of spaghetti (Neapolitan and cod spaghetti) and a soft serve ice cream and cake set after the meal. The spaghetti bowl matches perfectly, and both the spaghetti and the dessert after the meal are delicious. My companions are also satisfied with the delicious food. We drive our own cars, but for those who use trains, including the Shinkansen, CoCo is the perfect cafe to fill up the waiting time. It appears to have been newly built due to nearby maintenance in conjunction with the opening of the Hokkaido Shinkansen. The couple's warm reception made for a very pleasant time spent eating and drinking.
