Cakes from COCOS ~ I have know then gentleman from when he started to kirkwood location, memorial drive. One of the hardest working Cake makers I know. The best cakes over Publix, Kroger or any one I have tasted. You know it’s good if you live in Florida and need a cake for your daughter’s graduation party. And then my dad left a piece of cake in his Airbnb and had a fit. So his wife bought him Another just recently for Father’s Day. I cannot say enough good things about CocoCakes by Coco! I was invited to their 9th anniversary celebration last weekend & although it had been a minute since I’ve been there, it was still as I remembered! Each cake is outstanding, the buttery caramel cake is right up there with Rhodes bakery! I grew up in Atlanta and trust me, Rhodes bakery was the place to go for caramel cake. The atmosphere was above and beyond wonderful! Coco and Nicole greeted every customer while I was there And clearly, most who walked in while I was there, were repeat customers; those who weren’t, will be because they have done such a great job at offering the best cakes around! The chunks are perfect so, as usual, I bought a few. Aside from the buttery caramel cake, which I mentioned is the best in the city of Atlanta, I also got a chunk of their Island, coconut cream cake. It was amazing and every bit as good as the one that Rich’s downtown used to serve when I was growing up!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I started going to CocoCakes a year ago! I ordered the German chocolate chunk! I bake from scratch but sometimes I just want a piece of cake because I don’t need a whole cake for myself! I fell in love with the moistness of the cake and I say it was almost as good as mine.I started going once a week to get the chunk! The last two times J have been the cake was very dry and no moisture.I was told by my aunt that a friend of hers is Coco’s friend too and he said he came to the store to clean and there was cake mix boxes thrown all around on the floor in the back! Well I know some people use cake mix and Doctor it up to make it taste good so I didn’t recognize it being cake mix until the last two times I came to get my German chocolate chunk! It was not a chunk last Friday it was a smaller slice and dry.The price had increased and no longer was it that cake that I really liked before.If he really is using cake mix he probably went to a cheaper one because it was not good at all for cake that just had went up in price to $8.00
