Honest Review We’ve been back to Coffee Builders several times because we genuinely like the atmosphere, and the food has generally been good. That’s why today’s experience was quite disappointing. I tried the new Baby Back Ribs and waited quite a while for it, so I was expecting it to be served warm and freshly cooked. Unfortunately, when it arrived, the ribs were already cold and dry. The sauce also tasted like it was simply mixed with soy sauce and ketchup. Considering the waiting time, I was expecting much better. I honestly wished I had just ordered one of their tried-and-tested dishes instead. I also want to raise a concern regarding the PWD discount, because this has happened to us more than once. The last time we purchased pastries to take home for my child who is a PWD, the cashier told us that the PWD/Senior Citizen discount does not apply to pastries and cakes because their prices are already low. We were given the same explanation again today. I would like to respectfully point out that under Republic Act No. 10754 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, PWDs are entitled to at least a 20% discount and VAT exemption on qualified purchases for their exclusive use or enjoyment. The IRR specifically states that restaurant purchases include food, drinks, beverages, desserts and other consumable items, including take-out orders. Because of this, I would appreciate clarification from Coffee Builders regarding its policy on PWD discounts for pastries and cakes. If there is a specific legal exemption or provision that excludes these items, I hope management can provide the basis for it, because simply saying that the prices are already low does not appear to be the basis stated in the law. We’ve chosen to come back several times because we actually enjoy the place. This is why I’m sharing this feedback—not just to complain, but hopefully to encourage the management to review both the food quality and the implementation of PWD benefits so customers, especially PWDs and their families, can be treated fairly and in accordance with the law. CB just got better. A lot of new food and drinks in their menu. I tried their Ube Batirol and All Meat BBQ Pizza. Both are really good. Nothings change when it comes to their service and ambience of the place. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₱2,000–2,500
