Went in this afternoon at around 4:50pm. Three young staff were in the store. One staff member (brunette female) was helping herself to her own small cup of ice cream, eating behind the counter, not wearing a mask, no sanitising before handling customer food. Two other young staff members were in the back room exclaiming loudly to one another about how they hadn’t caught up in ages, one not in uniform, clearly more interested in catching up on company time rather than attending to the filthy floors, counters, and seating. The attitudes of all staff present were terrible. The staff acted as though our being there was a burden to their free time to eat the ice cream instead. Another young staff member (male brunette) showed up toward the end of our order being made exclaiming he was late.

The staff member making our take home container after realising she had not added enough ice cream then topped up the container with two large scoops of plain ice cream. We paid for mix ins, and approximately 1/3 of the container is plain ice cream because your staff could not be bothered to focus on their job.

I understand that this is likely a first time job. But the hygiene and safety standards in this store were appalling today. No masks. Eating at the service counter. No hand washing or sanitising. No cleaning of the store. I highly advise you to speak with your staff about this. It’s gross, and unprofessional. Your brand is being damaged by staff who don’t care. Yes it’s “just an ice cream job”. But it’s a business, and we paid nearly $20 to be ignored, eyerolled at, and have our food be handled unsafely.
