I had a frustrating experience at this Tim Hortons. I actually come to this location regularly because the employees are usually friendly, and I’ve generally had good experiences here, which made this visit especially disappointing. I ordered a medium vanilla iced coffee & was asked how many cream & sugar I wanted. I said “2 cream and 2 sugar.” The employee asked again, so I repeated, “2 cream and 2 sugar.” She then asked me a third time, “No, how many cream and sugar?” At that point I was confused & wondered if I was ordering incorrectly. I finally said “double double,” & only then did she take my order. This same employee also regularly comes across as rude in the drive-thru. She’s the one who always says, “Anything else?” in a tone that makes you feel rushed, like she’s pressuring you to finish ordering as quickly as possible. Good customer service should make customers feel welcome, not hurried especially for 3 simple drinks. To make matters worse, I ordered both a caramel iced coffee & a vanilla iced coffee, but neither drink was labeled. My coworker and I had to taste both drinks just to figure out which one belonged to whom. Overall, this experience felt unprofessional and could have been avoided with better communication and attention to detail. I hope management addresses both the customer service and the lack of labeling on drink orders, because this location is usually great & I’d like to continue coming here with the positive experiences I’ve had in the past. Hi yanet — that sounds really frustrating, especially since you usually have good experiences at this Tim Hortons. You shouldn’t have been asked the same question multiple times, and the drive-thru tone you described doesn’t feel welcoming. I’m also sorry the caramel iced coffee and vanilla iced coffee weren’t labeled clearly—having you and your coworker figure it out by tasting isn’t acceptable. We’re sharing this internally so the team can tighten up communication at the counter and make sure orders are labeled correctly before they leave.
