I was at your restaurant with my son for lunch. One of the water brought out glasses had a lipstick stain on it for starters, but I know that can happen. I ordered soup and a sandwich, my son ordered soup and a skillet. The server asked us if we wanted the soup out first and we said yes. Almost 15 minutes later she finally brought out our soup and said our food would be out soon. Another 15 minutes go by and she brings us out our food. My son ordered a skillet with eggs over easy, however the eggs were fully cooked and the cheese was already hard, and the English muffin was burned. Then upon biting into my sandwich there was a hair in the sandwich. The server was no where to be found, I had to go looking for her and wave her down to get her attention. She did take the food, said she would notify the manager and take the food off the bill. The sandwich was not offered to be replaced. When I pointed out the issues with my son’s meal all she did was say, “oh, sorry”. My son, along with my 2 other children all work as servers at local restaurants so I fully understand the food industry. But I can honestly say this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had where both meals were terrible. There also wasn’t many patrons in the restaurant, I counted 3 other tables when we sat down. So being busy isn’t an excuse for the poor service we got. At no time did a manager come over to ask about the issues. I walked away paying over $30(I did leave a tip) for a meal that my son barely touched, a cup of soup and a lemonade. I did reach out to management via email, and did a reply asking to confirm date/time/location which I responded to and have not heard anything back and it’s been weeks.

We always enjoy dining at Colonial Cafe Naperville. The servers are great, and food is delicious. The only negative is they need to update the decor. It’s currently stuck in the 80’s.
Tonight was extra special because it was a fund raiser for our church, Bethany Lutheran Naperville.
