Yecenia has the WORST customer service skills I’ve ever experienced. As someone that once spent a lot of time at city place mall, I was excited to revisit it with so many new additions and renovations. The first place I stopped to grab a bite was Commas. I went to the bar and inquired about the establishment with a woman sitting at the bar working on her laptop. She directed me to look at the menu in a passive aggressive and condescending tone. The bartender then appeared and answered all my questions clearly and thoughtfully for me. Ayana was her name. I’m a kindergarten teacher and my 6y/os know how to act with more compassion and empathy than that “manager” does. You don’t speak to people in that tone EVER, but especially not when they are trying to patron your business. For additional context, I’m still at The Bar now getting ready to eat the food that Ayana recommended to me. Everyone I’m seeing her interact with is laughing and happy while speaking with her. In a world full of Yecenia’s be an Ayana. Someone that doesn’t mind taking an extra second to explain something to you and is kind without any possible prejudice. She will be tipped handsomely. PS. If anyone from Commas actually sees this, I don’t want to get anyone in trouble, but maybe some additional managerial trainings need to happen. Best,. A people’s person. I love finding food halls whenever I travel and this one is so cool! It was hard to decide but got tacos from J&J mex and ended going a second time the next day. Some of the best tacos I've had no lie. I had carne asada and they were delicious and the tortillas tasted homemade there is an escalator from the lower and upper levels to get here. If I was visiting longer I woukd have tried all the other stalls but glad I got the tacos. There is a unisex bathroom in the back of the hall thats pretty open so its not a big deal who uses what stall as they are separated very well with big doors, just the sinks are more open. Theres a bar at this food hall as well. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

There is no greater compliment than coming back a second time the very next day. It’s great to hear that J&J Mex-Taqueria stood out to you—they really do set the bar high with the carne asada. We hope to see you again next time you're in Silver Spring!

Hello Commas Food Hall in Silver Spring is such a great addition to the area. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with a nice mix of energy and comfort. There’s a great variety of food options, so everyone can find something they’re craving. The vendors were friendly and the service was smooth and efficient. Overall, a solid spot to grab a bite, meet friends, or just hang out. I’ll definitely be back! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
