I recently stumbled upon an extraordinary dining experience in Tokyo for just $6 at a tiny, unassuming restaurant. I found it by chance while searching for a nearby coffee shop. Despite Google listing its opening time as 11:30 AM, the locals in line informed me that it now opens at 11:50 AM. The atmosphere is authentically Japanese, with no English speakers among the staff or guests, yet they thoughtfully provide an English menu. The woman behind the counter, who I believe is the chef's daughter and now a master herself, took special care of me even though the restaurant was bustling. The place is like a spiritual shrine to exemplify Japanese humble hospitality. Her warm hospitality culminated in a sweet gesture of offering me a cookie at the end of my meal. This hidden gem is a must-visit if you're in the area. I had this sashimi special. Did I mention it was only $6? Wait. Whaaat?
