Overall pretty good visit and loved how the cashier was patient with me and my family as my pre-teens were learning how to order. However, sanitation is a huge issue here. I walked over to the drink machine and immediately saw massive mold in the shoot of the ice dispenser and thoughout the drink nozzles!!!! Very concerning and I hope I don’t get sick because of the front looks like this I can imagine the actual kitchen Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

I went to this location tonight and dealt with the rudest drive thru worker ever. He seemed irritated with our order, customer service was poor, closed the window as I confirmed if we had a receipt, I had to call him back to the window because I asked for bbq sauce and didn’t receive it initially. I will NEVER understand why people work with the general public if their customer service is horrible. This guy truly puts a bad stain on my experience and I doubt that I will ever visit a COOKOUT again because of him. I don’t know his name but he worked drive thru on April 8 2026 2:40 am, lighter skinned fellow, he wore a cap along with a durag underneath itif you are looking for a better experience please go elsewhere smh. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I’ve been a regular customer at this Cook Out location since I moved to Columbia, and until recently I’ve never had a reason to complain. Unfortunately, the past two visits have been extremely disappointing due to the same employee working the drive-thru. After a long day at work, I pulled in expecting a quick meal like I usually do. Instead of any type of greeting or basic customer service, I was met with a rude “order when you’re ready.” The employee taking my order clearly had an attitude the entire interaction. When I got to the window, I realized I didn’t catch the total correctly and was trying to grab the rest of the money. Instead of simply repeating the total or showing basic patience, she rolled her eyes and said “oh my god” as if I was inconveniencing her. At that point I decided not to even complete the order. I drove off without my food because the level of disrespect was unnecessary. What makes this worse is that this is the second time I’ve had a negative experience with the same employee, and it completely ruins what used to be a reliable stop for me. Everyone has bad days, but consistently treating customers like they’re a burden is unacceptable. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the situation, because experiences like this will absolutely drive regular customers away. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
