What a great spot. Quality, fresh food, excellent coffee. We found this place while traveling and went 2 days in a row. The staff is all very nice too. Will definitely be back if we are in the area again. Meal type: Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Cooked Goose has now become one of our favorite breakfast spots in Westerly. Everything is fresh and cooked perfectly. The portions, generous. The homemade chicken sausage was my favorite! We loved how Jen, one of the owners, visits each table and ask the guests how their meal was. We cant wait to go back. Meal type: Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Very disappointing experience. I arrived at 11:30 for lunch, but was told lunch did not start until 12:00, even though their menu says lunch starts at 11:30. I asked if I could order sandwiches and eat them on the patio, and was told that was fine. After spending $77 on three sandwiches, we were then told we could not stay on the patio, despite there being over 10 tables available in the restaurant. Based on other reviews, delays between meal services seem to be a recurring issue. The staff should be trained to be more welcoming instead of chasing away paying customers. Overpriced food and poor service. I will not be coming back. Meal type: Lunch

Hello Chris, I'm so sorry to hear about the confusion regarding your visit. Our lunch service begins once breakfast service has concluded. While breakfast is scheduled until 11:30, we continue serving any guests who arrived before that time, which on busy summer days will delay the kitchen's transition to lunch. We understand how this can be confusing, especially when you're expecting lunch to be available right at 11:30, and we're working to better communicate that expectation. I also want to apologize for the conflicting information you received about patio seating. Being told you could enjoy your sandwiches outside and then being asked to leave after placing your order was understandably frustrating. That miscommunication should not have happened, and I'll be addressing it with our team to ensure we're providing clear, consistent information to every guest. We truly appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. While we're disappointed that your experience didn't reflect the level of hospitality we strive to provide, your feedback helps us improve.
