We live nearby and visit Corkscrew quite often, bringing our out of town guests and colleagues.but we may bot return after being “shooed” out in our most recent visit!! We (party of two) walked in when it was moderately crowded, and we sat in the wide open lounge seating right up front. After a few minutes, a server came over and literally asked us to get up and move somewhere else because “During this busy time, we might have a larger party come in who wants to sit there.” There were plenty of open tables—where larger parties could have easily sat, yet we were still asked to move. Again, we are locals who patronize this business regularly, not just during the “busy” times. It was pretty insulting to be asked to move, insinuating that our money to spend was somehow not “good enough” compared to a POTENTIAL larger party. Again, we were asked to move when there was NOT a party waiting behind us. Needless to say, we left and spent our money elsewhere, and probably won’t be returning to Corkscrew.

It really is cute, but it appears to have those regulars you worry are going to have too much to drink and get out of hand. We walked in and the strong smell of bleach was very challenging but we we decided to have one drink and go, the server, a young fella with glasses was professional and did what he was supposed to but that was it, you figure in the service industry at some point you would realize you have to work for a better tip(SMH). All in all cute place with huge potential but, average type business with average everything. So the 3 stars.
