Tired looking decor… Bar lady with Blonde hair and glasses was rude to us like we were up to no good. Had to wait over an hour for our dinner then another hour for desserts. Covid restrictions made the waiting more unpleasant no pool tables were available to play while waiting due to distance but yet they had pokie machines available and no distancing in the TAB area… Really need some sort of update in customer service, decor and some of the staff

I am a member of the Porirua Cosmopolitan Club and an RSA member since 1999. I wanted to become a member of the Gisborne Cosmopolitan club when I moved here in 2015. I showed a staff member my current membership cards from both clubs but it made no impression. Despite not knowing any members of the Gisborne Cosmopolitan club the staff member insisted the rules would not be compromised on my account. If I couldn't find a current financial member to endorse my application as well as a seconder then I would have to be signed in every time. The staff member then went into great detail about the limits of being signed in; A non member can only be signed in so many times If the signee decides to leave then I had to leave as well Persons with gang affiliations would not be signed in Basically informed of all the 'do nots' I was made to feel like a recently released prisoner applying for a job. If a terrorist blew the place to smithereens tonight I'd only pray for no loss of life.
