My recent visit to Courtepaille in Chartres was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment. The servers were rude and unfriendly from start to finish of our meal, which greatly affected our experience. Additionally, the glasses were extremely dirty. We had to ask to clean them and the cutlery as they were in unacceptable condition. The level of cleanliness clearly leaves something to be desired and this significantly detracted from our experience. The staff also got my order wrong and when we asked for a coffee we had to wait almost 20 minutes only to be informed that they had forgotten us and asked to leave without having received our coffee. This is unacceptable in terms of customer service. To add to our disappointment, when paying, we noticed that a beer had been added to the bill even though we had not consumed it. This billing error is unacceptable and highlights a lack of attention to detail on the part of staff. Overall, I strongly advise against the Courtepaille restaurant in Chartres. The rude attitude of the staff, dirty glasses and cutlery, forgetting our order and the billing error made this visit one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. I definitely won't be returning and recommend looking for other dining options in the area. *In response to the owner, I will contact you soon by telephone but as you can see from the photo of my receipt, my visit dates from 05/13/2023.
