Me and the family decided to check out Cover Sports & Shows for happy hour on a Friday night, 5/22. Its a pretty cool vibe and setup inside. Not exactly representative of the green chairs and tables that I saw on TikTok, but nice none the less. Heaven was our server and thats when everything started to go downhill. We are told that the kitchen is just getting up and running and warming up the grease so the food will be delayed. #ANNOYED. The venue opened at 5p, its 5:45p ok, cool. We order drinks. They take about 35 min. Strawberry lemondrop, Crown Royal shot and The Marathon. We were never offered water. We started as a party of 3 and another person came, she had to be called over and the same when the last person came. Rarely, did our encounter with her happen because she was just checking on table, it was because we were flagging her down #ANNOYED Once the food started flowing, it was hot and tasted pretty good. One person was trying to decide on cheesy fries with or without beef, he decided on regular cheesy fries. Somehow both come out. The expeditor bring the beef fries and says they're free if we want them since they were made. Cool, we'll take them if you're just gonna throw them out. Two people place an order for onion rings and 6 wings. After about 40 min, I find Heaven and she says they're coming. Another 20 min, that same expeditor comes by and I ask about the food items, she says she'll check. Heaven comes over and is saying she doesnt know what happened. Honestly, I don't think she ever put it in. We wait another 20 min, I finally go find her and to tell her to cancel the order and just bring the check. She says the food is coming right out, I was gonna tell yall when I deliver these drinks (to another table). All of this annoys me because if you'd checked on our table you'd know we were missing items and still waiting. #ANNOYED To add insult to injury, this venue add 20% gratuity to all checks, regardless of part size I don't normally patronize places like this because this is usually a black owned business thing and then you experience service that doesnt even warrant a 10% tip. We get the bill and it has the beefy fries on them. I bring that to Heavens attention, she says she cant take it off because we ate them #ANGRY we ate them because we were told they were free and we were waiting on other food. She says the lady that said that is a bar back and doesnt have any say. Now at this point its not even about the $5, it's the principle. Heaven then says that she doesnt want to argue, but she'd have to pay for it because management won't let her remove it. Can you bring the manager over? No one ever came We see the expeditor again and clarify that the beefy fries were supposed to be free. She confirms they were. Heaven removes the beefy fries and we pay the bill. Even with all the terrible service and experience from her she still got a 20% tip on a $115 bill Cover seems like it could be a cool place to vibe out and hang, but stay away from Heaven as your server. Maybe we caught her on a bad day. Either way, its not a chance im willing to take again. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Decatur. The management team is professional, attentive, and does an excellent job keeping things running smoothly even during the busiest nights. What stands out most is the customer service. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and works hard to make sure guests have a great experience. You can tell there’s a lot of pride and effort going into what they’re building here, and it shows. Great atmosphere, great service, and FOOD and a team that truly cares. Keep up the amazing work Decatur needed a spot like this! Will be back Price per person: $100+ Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
