Told to sit ourselves, wasn’t told to use the app to order (which isn’t optional) so waited a while before we were told to use the app. Toilet refused to flush according to my father. The desserts were tasty but the ice cream used was a bit bland. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

We visited today hoping for a treat somewhere with a nicer view than our usual dessert spot, so we made the effort to travel a bit further. On arrival, the café was quiet. A member of staff asked if we had visited before and, when we said yes, told us to take menus and sit wherever we liked. We even double checked with another colleague before taking a seat. After a few minutes, we used the QR code on the table to place our order. However, after waiting around 25 minutes with no sign of our food being prepared or brought out, we went to the counter to check on it. At that point, we were informed that the QR codes were not working correctly and had been sending orders to a different branch. While I understand that technical issues can happen, it was disappointing that we were directed to sit down and not informed there was an issue ordering this way, and then left waiting without any follow up. We were the only customers in the café at the time, yet no one checked in with us. We were then told there was nothing that could be done on site, and that we would need to contact the other branch ourselves to arrange a refund. There was little sense of urgency or apology, which added to the frustration. In the end, we had spent around 30 minutes waiting before deciding to leave without receiving anything. Staff remained at the back for most of this time and did not appear attentive to what was happening in the café. Overall, a disappointing experience. Clearer communication, better monitoring of customers, and ensuring systems are working properly would have made a significant difference. Meal type: Other Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
