Su excelente té de burbujas, sus deliciosos batidos de frutas o su magnífico café harán que tu comida parezca aún mejor, lo que, seguramente, te hará volver.
Vas a llevarte un buen recuerdo de este restaurante, puesto que es famoso por su gran servicio y su amable personal, siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Aquí vas a pagar unos precios interesantes. If I could give this fabulous sushi truck 10 star, I would. It may be marginally less expensive than a sushi restaurant, but I doubt it. But that’s not the point. They focus on the food instead of the facility. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Excellent sushi in an unexpected location. Dawa is a food truck in a funky food trailer park off Burnet. Which belies the level of food you are about to experience. The venue and the service are the epitome of no frills. All the effort. All the attention. All the care. That goes to the food. My kids loved the mixed options platter where my son discovered a love for octopus . There are many sit down establishments that charge quite a bit more that could stand to learn from this humble but mighty food truck. The gyoza were a huge hit as well. We will be back. (There is a shared Playground: it is oddly and very unsafely situated within the parking lot while nice to have a playground be careful of cars immediately outside the play area - this is no fault of the business it is owned by the space they rent from - but parent beware.) Vegetarian options: Did not feel like many “non-fish” options. Dietary restrictions: They can do sashimi Parking: The food “trailer park” has parking - but it can quickly overflow at peak times. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly for kids who love sushi. Wheelchair accessibility: Not super accessible/ the lot is poorly paved. We were running some errands around Burnet Rd and read good reviews about this food truck at 5000 Burnet Rd. so we thought to give it a try! We got there around 1:40PM which was kind of a late lunch, and too early for dinner. It appeared to be a ghost town of food trailers...which could be a good or bad thing meaning no food trucks were open; or they were open but there was not a lot of people. Thankfully it turned out to be the latter. (Whew) However, only four food trailers were open which was not a bad deal for our first time trying the 5000 Burnet food trailers. Dawa Sushi seems to be a Japanese-Korean food truck since they also have other Korean food on their menu as well besides sushi. SERVICE: I read a lot of reviews complaining about the wait so I came prepared. It seems they knew about this complaint since they have a sign that reminds people to be kind as this is real food, made as fast as possible but with care and attention. There was one table waiting for their food ahead of us. Once we put in our order (the lady who took our order was nice), we walked around to check out other food trucks but nothing interested us so we walked back to wait for our food, but as soon as we sat down it was ready. Our whole exploratory journey of the 4 other trucks didn't take more than 10 minutes so that is really not bad at all. FOOD: We got the "SAKURA ROLL" and "CRUNCH ROLL". They both were pretty good; the rice was soft, and the fish was not fishy (one of my fears when getting sushi from a food truck, but who doesn't have that fear right?), and the amount of sauces on each roll was perfect (not too much that it overpowered the rolls). All in all, if you're like me who love to try new restaurants/food trucks that are decent and not a waste of your money, and support locals, you're in for a treat! If we are in the area, we might come back and try their other items on the menu.
