Simple, fresh Italian deli. Great service and fantastic sandwiches. Big recommendation for the prosciutto, so simple yet so flavourful and I think it tops the equally yum Wagyu Bresola. Make sure you get an Italian import drink from the fridge out the back to wash it down. The free truffle cheese to try was like nothing I've ever tasted. The passion the staff has for the food, describing it, was fascinating. We ordered the fior di latte and another genuinely amazing sandwich—simplicity at its finest. We ordered takeaway at first. After briefly looking around, we wanted to sit down. Outside was so busy, but nonetheless, Luca had a table for us inside, right next to the kitchen. We could see them do all the food preparation—best seats in the house. The wonderful staff even came over with a free platter of olives, artichoke hearts, and that cheese we loved—table service, no QR codes—absolutely divine. This is our first time in Melbourne, and after dining at DOC Delicatessen, we want to move here. All the best and thanks again, Luca. I left my binoculars, and you took good care of them. Very happy.
