The food and service was amazing, but the room was way too loud. My partner and I couldn’t even hear each other, because the noise level was insanely loud. They need to fix that problem some how. Other than that everything was great. Victor was an excellent server. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Thank you for your review and for recognizing Victor's excellent service. We're very sorry that the noise level made it difficult for you and your partner to enjoy your conversation. Fortunately, this is usually limited to a few peak hours on busy weekend evenings, but we completely understand how frustrating it can be when it affects your dining experience. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear you enjoyed everything else. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a quieter visit in the future.

We dined at Domodomo Ko for a special occasion after previously dining at Written by the Seasons and Two Hands next door within The Quad. Between the food, service, and ambiance the experience at Domodomo left quite an impression that we will keep in our memories. We selected the Signature Domokase. First Course: Amberjack "Krystal" Caviar, Smoked Broth, Scallion Oil -- The smoky broth whet our appetites in preparation for things to come. Second Course: Octopus, Sundried Tomato, Calabrian Chile, Kalamata Olive, Parmigiano Reggiano -- This dish was a sensory stimulator with a perfectly cooked, slightly crispy, but not rubbery octopus. The chili and sundried tomatoes had a slight sweetness with just a hunt of spice to stimulate your taste buds in new ways. Third Course: Wagyu Carpaccio Pickled Daikon, Shimeji Mushrooms, Taro Chips -- Another adventure in your mouth with the sweet tang from the pickled daikon cubes, a bit of umami from the tiny mushrooms, and a crunchy texture to complement the richness of the thinly sliced wagyu. Fourth Course: Branzino Shiso Chimichurri, Green Beans -- A perfectly cooked branzino with crispy torched skin brought some substance to the meal while not being too heavy. Fifth Course: Hwe Dupbap - Nori Sheets, Assorted Seasonal Sashimi with Toppings, Mushroom Bibimbop with Gochujang Sauce -- The final course before dessert consisted of a deconstructed rice bowl into a build your own handroll Course. The mushroom rice packed a prominent umami and balanced the flavors perfectly when paired with the delicate fish. They did modify my serving to accommodate my celiac by offering gluten free soy sauce and removing wheat based gochujang. Sixth Course: Dessert Hojicha Pudding & Matcha Mochi Ice cream -- "Not too sweet" is an ideal compliment for asian desserts and this deserved it. I appreciated the textural component of tiny puffed edamame on the roasted tea pudding which evoked memories of drinking hojicha in small cafe in Daikanyama. I appreciated the attentiveness of our server, Lee, and the timely spacing of each course. The other support staff were also very respectful and accommodating throughout the night. We previously parked on the street but this time we used The Quad parking garage which was very convenient with an elevator to the ground floor. The restaurant validates your parking ticket, so you can just drive through the exit gates after dinner. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Price per person: $100+ Dietary restrictions: Gluten free modifications can be made. Parking space: Plenty of parking
