The food was good. It was quite busy during lunch, and there were so many customers that it seemed difficult for the waitstaff to keep up comfortably. The lunch prices are a bit higher than those at other Korean restaurants, but the quality of the food made it worthwhile. The restaurant is clean and offers a casual dining atmosphere, serving a fusion of Korean and Japanese dishes. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

My favorite local spot for Japanese katsu - consistently delicious and worth the visit. If you're craving Japanese katsu, I highly recommend this place. The restaurant is clean and well maintained and the food always lives up to expectations. Out of all the local katsu spots I've tried, this is still my favorite. I came with friends, we all enjoyed their meal. The katsu was excellent as always but the sushi was also fresh and surprisingly good. We also tried one of their specialty drinks, which was enjoyable, but if you don't like sweet drinks, it's probably something you can skip. Make a reservation if you're planning to visit on the weekend. It can get busy and you'll save yourself the wait. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

DOMOTO by DOMO has quietly become one of my regular go-to spots in Closter. I’ve been there enough times now to say the consistency is seriously impressive. Every item on the menu feels meticulous, thoughtful, and genuinely delicious. My favorites are easily the curry, the katsu, and the Korean fried chicken — all packed with flavor and cooked perfectly every time. Even the bread they use stands out somehow; soft, fresh, and ridiculously tasty in a way most places overlook completely. The whole restaurant has this relaxed, modern energy that makes it easy to keep coming back. One of those rare spots where you can order almost anything and know it’s going to hit.
