After an incredibly scenic drive, we found this rustic restaurant in a very small town. Who would ever expect fine dining here? Our host, Antonio is a famous chef, formerly of Domus in Fukuoka, now relocated to Yame. We had a starter of 14 beautifully prepared antipasti, followed by tiny vongole, calamari sundried tomatoes and zucchini in a delicate and delicious sauce on linguine, then a stunning and perfectly cooked Wagyu steak medallions in a balsamic reduction sauce platter accompanied by baby corn in the husk, acorn squash, baby onions and fingerling potatoes, drizzled with a fine olive oil. Dessert was a Mascarpone Tiramisu. Masterful technique by a superb chef. How he was able to deliver this amazing dinner, in the middle of this tiny town shows what a talented chef Antonio is. Wow!
