Arrived this evening (Wednesday) at 7.45pm very quiet, nobody appeared to be eating downstairs. Waitress asked us where we'd like to sit, we were shown to a table outside and given the food menu. Ten minutes later, a different waitress came and said "sorry we are no longer serving food tonight due to a large group of 30 people eating upstairs!!!!" I was speechless, they were hardly busy. I went to the bar to complain and asked for the manager, the girl I was speaking to at the bar said she and the other waitress were in charge, I said, you're telling me you can't cater for 2 meals because of serving 30 people upstairs, when you've shown us to a table and given us the menus! (Absolutely pathetic)! She went into the kitchen to speak to, (I assume) the chef, and returned and said as we had been shown to a table he would cook for us! I at the point I refused the offer. I said it might have been a gesture to have offered us a complimentary drink when we were first told of the food cancellation. Needless to say we left the bistro and went elsewhere. As a regular customer at DV8 and after spending many family celebrations there, I will not be returning. Poor attitude and very bad approach.

Booked an outside table for drinks only, asked of ee could order some food, was told abruptly by the young lady, no walk ins accepted, we said we had a table, response no walk ins, no " im very sorry" quite rude and emotionless. We were put on an outside table right in tge far corner, smelt like the smokes area, not great at all. We waited to be asked whag we wanted to drink, no body came so we went elsewhere, disappointing as we a regular customers. Customer service is key, specialy if you are unable to offer the customer what they want. Service: 1
