But when they saw me, they all abruptly looked up from their food at once, fell silent and directed a very long and silent attentive look at me, about 5 minutes long (all this was also accompanied by the audible silence of the background music since there was a transition from one track to another) and it was even a little uncomfortable . I felt like Danila Bagrov from the episode of the movie “Brother 2”, where he enters an ethnic bar with African-Americans and the whole room falls silent and stares at him with a questioning look, which should be read as “what’ a f?” It was like I walked into an Indian wedding to which no one invited me. But this silence is interrupted by the Indian waiter with his cry from the stairs of the second floor... it was something like “Hey! Badijau!!! " and flies down like a kite (one must pay tribute to his speed at a rather respectable age) And with his politeness and goodwill in broken English-Russian he tries to smooth out this awkward moment and that he quite succeeds. The furniture, like India itself, is as ancient (but there is its own charm) The boarding is as tight as a train at 8 am in the direction of Naro-Fominsk - Moscow. (in cramped conditions - but no offense as they say) The restroom is not suitable for guests with congenital claustrophobia, and the rim of the toilet bowl was peed on so much that I doubt that even a single drop got into the toilet itself... well, only if by accident. It was as if they were peeing and dancing there at the same time Belly dance. There are no questions about the food. Everything was fast, tasty and satisfying. The service is also good. The waiter smiled, tried and paid attention in every possible way. Everything was so authentic that it even seemed to me that they would bring me the bill in rupees, and after desserts we would all start dancing together. In general, the immersion in Mumbai turned out to be 3 D, so to speak. The price tag is very affordable. Food is Excellent. Location is good. Prices are OK. A must try place for all Indians when they visit Moscow. The Restaurant Manager from Assam Mr. Duke Roy is a very hospitable person. Really handles the guest very well. I would love to recommend this restaurant to my colleagues and friends. Thumbs up to DARBARS Restaurant, Moscow.
