We had a great experience at Day’s Kitchen. It’s a cozy restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere, and despite its size, the menu offers a great variety of authentic Filipino dishes, drinks, and desserts. Everything we ordered was delicious and tasted like it was prepared with love and care. Our favourites were the Beef Pares, Champorado, and Halo-Halo. The Beef Pares was incredibly soft, tender, and full of flavour, especially paired with the garlic rice. The Champorado was rich and comforting without being overly sweet, and the Halo-Halo was honestly one of the best we’ve ever had. These dishes really brought us back home with every bite! The staff were friendly, and the food arrived fresh and well presented. If you’re looking for authentic Filipino comfort food in Scarborough, Day’s Kitchen is definitely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu. We called in at 9am for pickup on a Friday AM as store is advertised to be open at 9am. We are told to pick up after 30 minutes. To our surprise, the store is still closed at 9:40. We arrived earlier than the kitchen crew! We waited for an hour for our food to be prepared. That is definitely an awful experience. Never going back again . What a gem! To say “We’ve enjoyed everything” is an understatement. They put such great care and love to all their dishes and it shows. As usual, we ordered a lot and we were not disappointed! We had the Tapsilog, Tocilog, Longsilog, Kwek Kwek, Pancit Bihon overload, Palabok overload, Grilled Liempo, Spanish Bread, Cheese Bread, Regular and Ube Ensaymada, Ube Cheese Pandesal, and Egg Pie. And the amount of rice in a dish is insane and equally very tasty! My gosh. Talk about satisfied. I’m so ready to order a half or full tray if only I had a party to go to now. We’ve always just ordered through UberEats before but soooo extra happy that this was actually so near us. We’ve found our new usual spot for Filipino food. And it’s great food.
