I work at Johns Hopkins university and we hosted an alumnus for lunch today at Dear Charles. It was my first time. The restaurant is in the bottom of The Study hotel so it may be hard to find on any map app. Reminded me of an old tavern you’d find in historic Annapolis. Our servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. When I ordered the fish and chips our server said great choice - one of his favorites. And sure enough it was AMAZING! Best I ever had including many in the UK. Lightly fried cod that melted in my mouth. It came with chips (fries) that were ok - could have been cooked a bit more. But dang that fish was delicious. Dipping sauces included vinegar, some sort of tasty tartar sauce and ketchup. Rest of group had turkey BLT and grilled chicken salad - both looked very good. Sorry no picture but TRUST! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The place is beautiful inside. I enjoyed the food, will be going back to try other items off the menu. I went in the late afternoon 3pm. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $20–30
