We were on our anniversary trip and stopped in here to grab a drink and get some local olive oil, wine, desserts, etc, for our family back in the US. We spent over $500 on items and the staff was being ever so helpful and assured us they ship things to the US all the time and we would have our things within roughly two weeks. This way we wouldn't have to figure out how to pack them in our suitcases.
We then paid $350 via Venmo to have it shipped since they would need a "custom wood box" created to ensure nothing was damaged in transit.
This was all at the end of May 2025. Numerous attempts to get an update on our shipment was met with "it's being sent on Friday", "I was in an accident and I'll send shortly", "I'll send the tracking slip tomorrow", "the post office returned it, I need to send it again", or simply wouldn't respond. This went on all of June and into July.
After over a week of not responding to any messages, we finally did a chargeback with our CC company thinking we got scammed. A few days after the chargeback was submitted, we got frantic messages that our shipment was being sent and finally sent tracking slips for "Shoes, Clothes, Wine" on the declaration.
When we finally got the box, it was standard cardboard boxes from their items (not custom) and most of our higher priced items was missing. 4 bottles of wine missing, 2 of 4 bottles of olive oil missing, local honey missing, multiple dessert tins missing, local ingredient lotion missing, and numerous tourist cheap items that we never purchased, were included.
So here we are with hundreds of dollars of items missing, scammed on the "custom wood shipping box" and shipping costs, and a store that won't respond to our messages.
We have the receipt from the store, screenshots of the Venmo, and screenshots of all the lies in communication from day one.
